Later when I played I took my burglar Dhrun into some skirmishes.
I had the evening free to spend so I played DDO, determined to reach 3rd level as a monk. It didn’t take too long, 4 or 5 available quests in Stormreach got me there.
I finally got some quality time in LoTRO!
My goal tonight was to finish off the Korthos Island slayer quest, as well as Misery’s Peak.
The slayer quest was no problem, as I only 50 or so enemies to kill to hit 200… which I thought was the finish. There is another tier above that, of 400 kills, and I decided the xp bonus for reaching it wasn’t worth the time. So I moved along and entered Misery’s Peak.
The observant among you, if there are any readers at all ;), may notice the 3 MMOs I currently play are free-to-play. Does that mean I think the subscription based model is bad?
I feel bad but lately I’ve been avoiding LoTRO. After trying to figure out why, my conclusion is: I feel overwhelmed with so much to catch up on.
I decided to reroll my DDO monk as a halfling female. Part of that was driven by aesthetics – the male character model didn’t look as good. The other part was driven by the name – I used one from a book and felt the name suited a rogue better. Now I have Naerys, a female halfing monk, and Cargus the male rogue who probably won’t see much action at all.
